Welcome to my favourite day of the week, it's the one that comes after tortuous Monday and before boring old Wednesday. Yep you guessed it... Newbie Tuesday! So sit back and put your feet up as Doctor Mammasaurus administers your weekly dose of newer blogging joy!
Highlights of the week...
This week poor Musings of a stressy mummy has been in need of some sleep, The Perfect Bad Mummy has lost a life-line and Living It Little has been feeling, questionably, a bit of a party pooper!
Brand new blogger ExpatMumm has been describing her organisational skills in her very first post, whilst Trouble Doubled has been sharing how she came to terms with her 'SAHMness'.
Have you spotted that over at That's the baby game, 17- month- old self- proclaimed 'totally cool kid' Mya has been introducing herself?
Now to three newer bloggers who have been making me chuckle this week. The Sproglet Bloglet with 'Denture wish your teethies were wooden like mine?', Older Mum with 'Befuddlement and Poo' and @Homedad with 'Elephants & escalators: Size matters'.
Finally some love to Three Little Flower's wife whose tummy full of twins has been causing her discomfort and to Diary of a Lagos Mum who is lamenting the loss of her son’s hair as he undertakes a rite of passage. The very last bit of new blogger love (and admiration) goes to the wonderful Purple Mum who has shared her experiences of depression.
This week’s tips...
BritMums launched an exciting new initiative to help newer bloggers over the past few days. BritMums Big Sis Mentoring Programme aims to bridge the gap for new bloggers by pairing together 'experienced' volunteer bloggers with newbies. If you are a newer blogger this is a great opportunity to seek support and advice on things such as blog layout, content and getting answers for anything blogging related that you may be stuck with. Are you interested in joining the programme? Head on over to find out more and sign up.
In order for you to mentally prepare yourselves I'll leave you with the shock announcement that next week I'll be talking video blogging -it's easy, fun and - best of all - it's a great way for a newer blogger to stand out and get noticed. Mr Charles Onion-Smythe (yes you did read the name correctly) has been talking this week about the first step to creating your first video post - facing the fear, it also shows that you don't have to show your face to make a video post!
Righty ho! That's enough to keep you busy this Tuesday morning, I hope you enjoy these highlights and if you have spotted a new blog on your travels around the Blogosphere then please feel free to share it with us by commenting below - we love a good read!
