Once again, more lovely insight behind the bloggers who write the blogs we love. This week we're featuring Heather from SAHM Loving It.
1. What is your Blog Name/Url? (Twitter ID & Facebook Fan Page URL)
SAHMlovingit (http://sahmlovingit.blogspot.com). My twitter ID is @SAHMlovingit. I don't have a Facebook account
2. What is your name/alias?
My real name is Heather (but I'm also just known as SAHMlovingit as some people in the blogosphere call me)
3. How did you come up with your Blog Name?
It was originally my Twitter ID which I'd had for over a year. Originally I wanted to call my blog 'From Marketing To Mummy' but then I found a well established blog with a similar sounding name so I changed it. I thought about all sorts of different marketing (my former occupation) related names but eventually decided to stick to my twitter name as it was already established.
4. When did you start blogging?
31st December 2010 so only 4 months ago!
5. Why did you start blogging?
I just needed somewhere, an outlet for my thoughts and feelings. I also wanted to document my life as a stay at home mum and thought it would be nice for my daughter to look through when she was older.
6. Has blogging met your expectations so far?
It's exceeded my expectations! I never expected to gain any readership to my blog and I've been overwhelmed by the warmth and helpfulness of the mummy bloggers out there.
7. What has been your biggest challenge?
Definitely not letting 'blogging competition' take over. It's so easy once you start getting readership to want more and more and this is something I've tried to steer clear of and remember why I started the blog in first place.
8. Share with us your blogging HIGHLIGHT and LOWLIGHT.
The highlight has definitely been meeting new friends in the blogging community. Their welcome was just amazing and their support has been fantastic.
The lowlight has been trying to overcome the challenge of competition as I've mentioned above and trying to stay grounded to the reasons I started blogging.
9. What do you hope to achieve through your blogging?
I hope to become a better person if that makes sense? I hope to gain friendship and respect in the blogging community but above all have a little part of cyberspace to myself to have fun and document my SAHM experiences.
10. What has been your favourite post and why?
My favourite post has most definitely been my Born To Volunteer post. Not just because it's been my most popular post this month but because it gave me a chance to talk about something I feel so passionate about and to spread such an important message in the blogging community.
