At BritMums we love to recognise brilliance in blogging. We try to, every week, highlight a blogger who is lighting the blogosphere up with their writing. We want to share the love as much as possible to build a strong community. This week we need to galvanise the blogging community behind one very special blogger and the amazing campaign that she is promoting.
This week's BritMums Blogger of the Week is Christine Mosler from
Thinly Spread. Christine has been chosen by
Save the Children to embark on an amazing adventure to promote the plight of Third World countries and the lack of vaccinations for childhood diseases. In advance of the Global Vaccines Summit hosted by David Cameron in June of this year, Christine will be travelling to Mozambique to then follow a vaccine on its way from the city, along 'the cold chain' to rural communities. What an amazing opportunity to witness, firsthand, the important work of Save the Children!
Supporting Christine along the way is her wonderful (and rather gorgeous) family and some of our very special bloggers from the BritMums community. We love the support and effort that so many of you are giving to this very worthy cause! There are several avenues along which you can support the #passiton campaign.
Check out Christine's Pass It On- A Chance to Grow post where you can get involved in a fabulous meme headed by Maggy from Red Ted Art and Josie from Sleep is for the Weak. The goal is to spread the word around the globe and #passiton in advance of the Vaccine and Immunisation Conference in London on June 13. Sign the petition HERE.
Another wonderful blogger supporting Christine is Paula Battle who created The Gift Tag- #passiton as another opportunity for bloggers to #passiton. You can download your own Gift Tag, sign it and pass it on to friends, family, community organisations and/or schools. The more the word gets out there, the greater the benefit. No child is born to die.
So what are you waiting for BritMums? We threw our support, love and energy behind the Blogladesh campaign last year which was a precedent setting campaign that changed the face of blogging. Now it's time to galvanise our blogs, our voices and our gift of gab to support Christine on this amazing mission!
