St. Martin’s-in-the-Field served as the backdrop for the 1st (Annual?) British Mummy Bloggers Christmas Party. Nearly 60 bloggers attended the event which was sponsored by Heinz and it was a glorious kick off to the holiday season. Thankfully, the winter weather of the previous week let up enough to let most of the bloggers through to enjoy a glass of wine or two, some lovely Christmas dinner and a lot of chatter.
In addition to celebrating the year that has nearly gone, there were some wonderful bloggers who were invited to share their Christmas themed posts at the BMB Christmas Lunch. Three of the bloggers were able to read their posts aloud:
• Super Amazing Mum - Christmas Memories Through the Years
• Mummy Limited - A Satsuma in the Toe
• The Beauty Glo - The Twelve Years of Christmas My Christmas Carol
Unfortunately, due to time constraints and lack of a microphone, three other lovely bloggers were unable to read their posts aloud but still deserve to be heard:
• Mum Versus Kids - The Ghosts of Christmas Past
• She Was Not At All Domestic - Christmas 2008
• Not a Notting Hill Mum - First Christmas
Everyone who attended the 1st BMB Christmas Party came away feeling considerably more festive and left with two wonderful goody bags courtesy of Heinz and Muddy Puddles. New friendships were forged and old acquaintances were renewed and a real sense of community was felt by all. It’s already been determined that the next gathering needs at least another hour to accommodate all of the chit-chat.
