With September we have seen a huge uptake in brand campaigns flying around mumosphere. Some very elaborate, and some so beautifully simple.
Interflora has started a blogger outreach programme with We Are Social. It included sending flowers to bloggers. The twist was that they used blog design to specify arrangements, thus adding a very personal touch.
To Susanna (spelled correctly!!)
We've sent you these flowers simply because we love your blog. The bouquet has been designed around your blog's colours. We hope you like them!
The bouquet even included the Scottish thistle; not sure if this is because of hubby or just a coincidence. But it went down a treat.
Another current campaign is the Toys-R-Us Toyologist programme. About 40 parent bloggers have agreed to be "toyologists" -- which includes trying out toys! There is a Facebook page and group, Twitter account (@trutoyologists), hashtag (#toyologists), badges and even a newsletter.
The campaign kicked off with an event, and then bloggers were sent boxes (and boxes) of toys to review. Many bloggers were overwhelmed by the amount of toys, and came up with some pretty creative ways to use them: parties, charities, carnivals and giveaways. Bloggers certainly were engaged.
Stoves joined forces with the WI to create the Real Jam Festival. Riding on the popularity of the jam wave, they sent bloggers and journalists to London for a master jam making class. WI members were on hand to lend their expertise on how to make an awarding-winning pot. And by george, my jam actually set (and I wrote about it). Now there's a campaign that thought outside the jar.
What are some of your favourite blogger campaigns?
